The Taipei Int'l Sporting Goods Show (TaiSPO) 2012 marked its 39th anniversary with a favorable turnout, attracting a total of 1,964 international visitors to the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall, Taipei, Taiwan on March 6 to 9, 2012. The four-day event showcased a wide range of the latest sporting goods with high-tech and environment-friendly features. Overseas visitors increased 4% from last year, generating an estimated US$8.18 million on-site transactions and US$13.15 million follow-up business.
Indicating consumer market development in emerging economies, attendance from China accounted for 12.3% and topped other visiting countries. Also in the list were Japan, the US, Hong Kong, South Korea, Australia, Thailand, India, Germany and Malaysia.
As part of Asia's largest 4-in-1 sports exhibit, TaiSPO was co-located with the Taipei International Cycle Show, Taipei Int'l Sports Textile & Accessory Expo and Taiwan International Diving and Water Sports Show.
TaiSPO expects to welcome more visitors as it reaches its 40-year milestone on March 19 to 22, 2013.
