Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions ("Contest Terms") apply to the China Sourcing Fair (April 2013) Style Award Voting Contest ("Contest"). Your participation in the Contest will be subject to and governed by these Terms and Conditions. Please therefore read these Terms and Conditions carefully, before proceeding with your registration for the Contest. Registration for the Contest will constitute an acknowledgement by you that you have accepted and agreed to the Terms and Conditions.

Please note that Global Sources reserves the right to suspend or cancel the Contest, or to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time and without prior notice. Any such suspension, cancellation or amendments will be posted in the website of Global Sources (www.chinasourcingfair.com) (the "Site") and/or relevant Contest notices, literature or materials or updates thereto.

  1. Applicable Shows
    The Contest relates to buyer pre-registrations for the China Sourcing Fair: Fashion Accessories / Garments & Textiles held in April 2013.
  2. Qualifying Entrants

    1. The Contest is open only to staff or designated representatives of qualified buyer organizations, who are 18 years or older as of Mar 4th, 2013.

    2. Employees of Global Sources and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household thereof are not eligible to participate in the Contest.

    3. Entrants are allowed to vote only once. Any evidence of scripted or manual multiple entries on the online voting form will result in the entrant being disqualified from the Contest and/or any other contest(s) or competition(s) organized by Global Sources or its affiliates.
  3. Competition entries

    1. The validity period for submission of Competition entries is from Mar 11th, 2013 to April 16th , 2013 (inclusive).

    2. Contest entries must be completed in full and made in the manner specified on the China Sourcing Fair voting form within the validity period. Failure to do so will result in the entry being disqualified.

    3. Entrants agree that Global Sources (and its affiliates, agents, representatives and contractors) will have full rights, and hereby grantto Global Sources (and its affiliates, agents, representatives and contractors) a perpetual, royalty-free and worldwide license, to use and reproduce any submitted answers (including translations thereof into another language), or any extract, condensation or summary thereof, for or in connection with any such marketing, promotional, publicity or other activities or materials as Global Sources may, in its sole and absolute discretion, deem fit, whether or not such submitted answers are the actual winning entries. Entrants also agree that their personal and/or organization names and details may be included for such purpose, at Global Sources' sole and absolute discretion. In addition, winner may be requested to participate in press, public relations, marketing and/or promotional events for or relating to the Shows and/or the Contest. This may include, but will not be limited to, providing quotes for inclusion in press releases, press conferences and interviews, etc.

      Each entrant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Global Sources and its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives or contractors, from and against any and all damages, losses, liabilities, suits, actions, proceedings, judgments, fines, penalties, costs and/or expenses (including legal fees and expenses on a full indemnity basis) arising from or in connection with any claim or complaint based on or relating to the entrant's entry or participation in the Competition and/or the contents of the entrant's submitted answer or Global Sources’ (or its affiliates', agents', representatives' or contractors') use or reproduction thereof pursuant to this Section 3c (including but not limited to any claim or complaint of plagiarism or copyright infringement; fraud; false use or provision of any name, information or details; or any inaccuracy, omission or misrepresentation).

    4. The best answer will be judged and determined by the judges of the Contest. Winner will be awarded the prize set out in Section 4 below. The decision of the judges of the Contest will be final and no dispute or query will be entertained.

    5. Global Sources reserves the right to disqualify the entries that do not comply with any of these Terms and Conditions. These include (but are not limited to) entries submitted with invalid, incorrect or incomplete information, or late entries. Please note that answers, which are deemed by the judges to be offensive and/ or inappropriate, will not be considered and will be screened out at the sole and absolute discretion of the judges.
  4. Prizes and usage conditions
    The winner of the Contest will be given an iPad mini. The prize must be collected personally by the winner at AsiaWorld-Expo from April 27th to April 30th, 2013.
  5. General Conditions for all Prizes

    1. All prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash or any other services or products of Global Sources. The value for the prize mentioned in these Terms and Conditions or elsewhere in the Site and/ or Global Sources’ other relevant site(s), and/or in its direct marketing e-mails ("eDMs") or other marketing or promotional materials or communications, are for indicative purpose only. In addition, Global Sources reserves the right to substitute the prize with any other prize(s) (which may or may not be of equal or comparable value(s)), for any reasons whatsoever, and without any prior notice. Different usage conditions may apply to any such other prizes.

    2. The winner will be notified on or before April 24th, 2013 by e-mail and will be required to acknowledge acceptance of the prize by return e-mail no later than April 25th, 2013.

    3. In the event the e-mail acknowledgement referred to in Section 5b above is not received by the applicable date, or the winner declines the prize, or the prize is not collected in accordance with Section 5b above, Global Sources reserves the right to announce and award the prize to a substitute winner or to deal with the unclaimed prize in any manner Global Sources may deem fit.

    4. In order to claim the prize, the winner must present valid passport/travel documents to prove identity.

    5. All prizes must be claimed and collected by the winner within the time limit set out in Clause 4 above otherwise the prize(s) will be forfeited without notice. No extension of time will be granted for prize(s) claim or any substituted compensation will be given for unclaimed prize(s).

    6. Under no circumstances will Global Sources be held responsible or liable for any inabilities or failures by a winner to accept, claim, collect or utilize any prizes, for whatever reasons.

    7. The above dates are subject to change, with or without any notice whatsoever by Global Sources.
  6. Disclaimers

    Global Sources, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives, agents or contractors, do not accept and will not have any responsibilities or liabilities for, and each entrant hereby agrees that no claim shall be asserted against any Indemnities in respect of:

    1. any damage or loss whatsoever (including any direct, indirect, consequential, secondary, special, punitive, exemplary or aggravated damage or loss, or any loss of use, data, business, opportunity, revenue or profit, or any economic or financial loss), or any disappointment, or any personal injury or death, or any property loss or damage, suffered by any entrant arising from or in connection with the Contest or its entry or participation in the Contest, or its acceptance or use of any prize; and/or

    2. any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or service providers, computer equipments, software failure of any e-mails or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any web sites, or any combinations thereof, including any injuries or damage to the entrant's or any other person's computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation in the Contest.
  7. Miscellaneous
    These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the jurisdiction of the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“Hong Kong”). Disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be submitted to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
