With fiber optic wiring, the security system can be installed on wire mesh fence, stone walls and even underground. It has electromagnetic interference protection and is suitable for use in highly flammable and harsh environments, such as oil refinery plant, mass rapid transit system, military base, oil-and-gas pipeline and nuclear power plant.

The video analytic system supports two-camera associated tracking, which connects one normal camera (supervising the scene) and one PTZ camera. The two-camera tracking capability allows user to define the object size and secured zones, and pinpoint (close-up zoom) a specific point/area within the surveillance area.

The system, which uses high-performance EPC Gen 2 RFID tags from Omni-ID Ltd, has already been deployed at four data centers operated by IBM—three in Europe, one in the United States—as well as a data center operated by a major insurance provider located in Germany.

09 May 2008	Entrust partners with Hewlett-Packard to deploy Taiwan ePassports by end of 2008 Entrust Inc. has announced that the company will provide its public key infrastructure (PKI) to Taiwan’s Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA) to help authenticate biometric information stored on machine-readable travel documents (MRTDs). Taiwan’s MRTDs or ePassports, developed using Hewlett Packard's NIS, will be available to nearly 23 million citizens by H2 2008.
