Basic, montage wooden photo frames take lead

TOP TRENDS

• Simple & montage constructions: Basic designs are still best-sellers, with rectangle, square and round the top shape choices. Multiframe pieces for photo montages are also popular.
  
• Handcarving & -painting: Suppliers of high-end models apply these techniques for differentiation and added value. The common patterns are flowers, animals and text.
  
• Environmental protection: Makers utilize formaldehyde-free MDF. “Green” varnishes and paint are likewise employed.
  
• Price forecast: Product quotes are expected to increase 10 to 15 percent in the next six months. Markups are mainly due to continuing inflation and the yuan’s appreciation.
