Bath gift sets with dual-purpose packaging, imported contents lead

Cases are designed to be both utilitarian and decorative, while several components are sourced abroad.

• Packaging enhancements: Suppliers are fusing creativity and functionality. Window boxes with heat shrink film will become more popular as they allow buyers to view the products. Various shapes and decorative ribbons are employed for visual appeal. Containers made of cardboard, PVC, PE and real wood double as display and storage items. Water-resistant and earth-friendly materials can be employed on request.
  
• Imported components: With the China government promoting importation, more makers will include shampoo, body lotion and bath gel from abroad. These are priced higher but have better quality than domestically manufactured variants. Combs, massagers and scrubs such as loofahs will still be acquired from local companies.
  
• Larger sets: To increase selections and expand profit margins, suppliers will boost the average number of inclusions to nine from the current five to seven.
  
• Foreseen markups: With labor and logistics costs climbing 15 and 10 percent earlier this year, adjustments of 10 to 15 percent are expected in the next six months. Paper, plastic and wood rates have been surging as well.
