The spring show ushered in buyers from all over the world with new booths and activities.
Thousands of visitors flocked to Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo as the spring edition of Global Sources Gifts & Home show opened today with creative and innovative selections from China and across Asia on display via an eye-catching array of booths and specialized pavilions.
Award-winning gifts and home products took center stage at the Creative Design Pavilion, with models carefully curated by expert analysts based on innovation and design. The Color Trends Area, meanwhile, highlighted the upcoming season's hottest colors and hues as predicted by Pantone.
Co-located with Color Trends, the Living & Giving Gallery treated visitors to product demos, interactive displays and workshops. Showgoers were also able to get up close and personal with trendy sports and fitness equipment at the Sports & Outdoor Gallery.
The New Markets Pavilion returned with a larger selection of Analyst's Choice products from emerging sourcing markets such as Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Philippines, Laos and Cambodia.
Visitors also had the chance to meet exporters face-to-face, and learn market strategies and get sourcing tips from industry experts through various seminars at the three-day Global Sources Summit.
Other show highlights include the eCommerce pavilion for online and Amazon sellers, and the Ready-to-Buy Zone, which featured on-hand items deliverable within 48 hours. The show also hosted 500 exhibitors who accept small orders.
Running from April 18 to 21, Global Sources Gifts & Home is co-located with Mobile Electronics, which showcases 2,700 booths with the latest smartphones, tablets, wearables, accessories and mobile VR/AR.
Expected to attend are thousands of top buyers such as American Eagle Outfitters, Brookstone, Burberry, Carrefour, Coppel, Disney, Fossil, King Jim Co., Li & Fung, MGB Metro, Office Depot, Robinsons, Seiko, Swarovski, Target, TOMY, Valore, Velleman and Woolworths.
