Bright hues add flair to neutrals-dominated men's suits line

Blue and mauve are gaining popularity. R&D also pays attention to design details and convenient suit care.

TOP TRENDS

Unorthodox colors: Vivid hues such as royal blue and mauve are gaining ground. In contrast, white and other light colors are seen as lacking in character. Neutrals, however, remain dominant as black, gray and camel stay in the lead.
Design details: The latest coats appear more streamlined with rounder and smoother fly hems. Three-button closures in single-breasted styles are the best-sellers.
Easy-to-care suits: Such models are usually upscale. They are machine-washable, water-rinsable and wrinkle-resistant. Imported wool fibers are utilized, producing specially treated fabrics that withstand shrinkage and stains.
Price increase: Coming from 10 to 30 percent markups in the past year, suppliers expect quotes to climb 10 to 20 percent further in the months ahead. These adjustments are due to rising raw material and labor costs.
Export sales growth: Despite the price increases, companies predict order volume will remain the same in the next half-year. Total export value, however, will be larger because of the higher quotes.
