China Sourcing Fair: Electronics makes US debut in Miami

	IP and spy cameras are among the lines anticipated to grab visitors’ attention at the fair's inaugural run in the US.

The fair showcases the latest security solutions and energy-saving products from the Greater China region.

Volume buyers from across North America and other regions have joined the regular horde of tourists and travelers descending on Miami, Florida, this month. The China Sourcing Fair: Electronics is being held in the US for the first time, running from July 11 to 13 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Visitors can check out the latest security systems, consumer electronics, computer and telecom products, and home appliances from the Greater China region. Exhibitors will include leading and emerging suppliers in the categories.

Among the lines anticipated to take center stage are IP cameras in various forms. Manufacturers will be presenting miniature dome systems with CCD image sensors, megapixel box types and bullet CCD models with long-range night vision. Spy cameras disguised as innocuous-looking baseball caps, wristwatches, calculators, wall sockets and soda cans are also expected to be on hand.

An array of surveillance solutions for the professional and home segments will be laid out for buyers’ inspection. The collection will include DVR kits with four to 16 channels supporting USB and Internet backup, H.264 compression and selectable recording modes.

Shenzhen Conpon Electrical Products Mfg Co. Ltd, one of the exhibitors at the show, designs and manufactures CCTV devices, including security cameras, quad processors and DVRs, wireless baby cameras and monitors, and video door phones. Its 100-member workforce turns out up to 50,000 units every month in the 1,514sqm factory in Guangdong province. The company exports mainly to Eastern and Western Europe. Annual sales reach $6 million. Products comply with CE, GS, BS, FCC, UL and RoHS requirements.

LED-based products and accessories will likewise be on display. Riding the world’s growing demand for energy-efficient technologies, manufacturers will be introducing light bulbs of various shapes, colors and wattages at the specialized event. Downlights, ceiling lamps, and other luminaires for indoor and outdoor applications are also expected to grab visitors’ attention.

Buyers looking for solar products will find portable power systems suitable for camping and other outdoor activities. Miniature models for charging handheld electronic devices such as mobile phones and PDAs are anticipated to be part of the selection.

The China Sourcing Fair: Electronics is co-located with six other trade shows on garments and textiles, home products, fashion accessories, baby and children’s products, gifts and premiums, and India-made products.
