However, other international markets more than make up for the U.S., driving worldwide PC shipments to increase by 14.6 percent to 69.5 million units in Q1, higher than previous estimates of 13.2 percent, according to IDC's Worldwide Quarterly PC Tracker. The EMEA and Asia/Pacific regions posted more than 2 points increase above forecast due to continued strength in developing countries.
