The 2016v2.0, 2016v3.0, 2016v4.0 model from Xiamen Roopto Technology Co. Ltd is used to detect tooth decay, including plaque, caries, tartar and periodontal lesions. With a camera lens, light waves and optical imaging, the unit takes and sends pictures of the affected area directly to an iOS- and Android-compatible app for further analysis. Camera light is white and blue.
The smart handheld device can also be set to make dental appointments. It is self-cleaning, activating a UV disinfection function during charging. The detector is equipped with a 1,300mAh Li-ion battery. Full charging takes 3 hours and is done via MicroUSB.
The Wi-Fi-enabled unit is suitable for adults, including pregnant women and the elderly, and children 6 to 12 years old. It is housed in medical-grade PC resin and resembles a toothbrush.
