Freeport Resources Enterprise Corp. has released the 18-9420 series of DisplayPort plug-to-plug cable. The product enables digital display connection as a viable alternative to VGA and handles digital transfers at rates up to 10.8Gbps. Each unit supports 2560x1600-pixel or 2048x1536-pixel resolution and 30-/36-bit colors. Its bandwidth can accommodate future enhancements to up to 21.6Gbps. Contact rating is at least 0.5A and voltage rating is 40V AC (rms). Contact resistance is up to 30mohms.

The unit has UL94V-0 rated high-temperature thermoplastic insulator material and copper alloy contact material. Its mating cycle lasts for up to 10,000 times. The unit is suitable for use with PCs, projectors, DVD players, set-top boxes and LCD/PDP TVs.

Delivery takes three to four weeks.
