• QuikPac one step HIV 1/2 test is a rapid, qualitative immunoassay for determination of antibodies against human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) types 1 and 2 in human serum, plasma or whole blood, as an indication of HIV infection
• The test utilizes recombinant viral antigens and yields distinctive, visually read results in less than fifteen minutes
• Test procedure:
  • Remove a test cassette from its foil pouch by tearing along the splice
  • Apply 1 to 2 full drops of whole blood (30 to 50 μl) into the sample well ("S")
  • Wait 30 seconds, then add 1 to 2 drops of test buffer to the buffer well ("S")
  • When the color first appears at the window, wait 15 minutes and read the result
