Konka launches industry's first LCD TV with DisplayPort technology

China (mainland) – The Konka Group Co. Ltd has launched the industry's first DisplayPort technology-enabled 42in LCD TV. The DP601 DisplayPort receiver from Parade Technologies Ltd powers the model, which also features an HDMI input port and MEMC technology.

"The PC industry is quickly adopting DisplayPort technology," said Lin Gaike, president of the R&D Center and vice president of TV Product Division in Konka. He added that DisplayPort technology is bridging PCs to TVs by supporting high resolution digital display with digital audio and content protection.
