Aware Electronic Inc. Ltd’s A-Pad is an ultramobile PC (UMPC) that supports 3G, GPRS and Bluetooth connectivity. The model is targeted for the mobile business market with its seamless video conferencing function. It is equipped with a 7in touchscreen TFT-LCD with 800x400-pixel resolution. It features a 3MP camera, an SD/MMC memory card slot, two USB ports, 3.5mm I/O audio jack and standard D-Sub VGA output (analog RGB) socket. It has 10/100Mbps Ethernet and IEEE 802.11b/g wireless interfaces.

The UMPC uses an Aday5F 300Mhz X86 processor with the AdaySC-501 chip or an Aday5G 800MHz X86 processor with the Aday SC-502. It has 256MB/512MB DDR2 SDRAM, a 4MB flash ROM and a 2GB/4GB NAND flash memory. It runs on Linux OS, and supports MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It plays back MP3, WAV, audio CDm MPEG-4, AVI, MOV, Flash, DivX, BMP, JPEG, GIF and PNG. Built-in games include Blockout, Galaga, X Solitaire, XPuyoPuyo and X Scavenger.
