China (mainland) TP-Link Technologies Co. Ltd has released the TL-PA201, a powerline Ethernet adapter that supports data transfer rates of up to 200Mbps. The model uses 128-bit AES data encryption and and has up to 200m transmission range. The plug-and-play powerline Ethernet adapter complies with IEEE 802.3 10/100 Ethernet and HomePlug AV standards. Its functions include QoS, error correction and intelligent channel adaptation for throughput under harsh channel conditions. It supports cable/xDSL broadband connection or LAN extension to other electrical outlet without new cables. The device uses OFDM modulation mode and supports IGMP and TCP/IP. It comes with a ‘reset’ button and a ‘pair’ button for connection of two adapters without software. It has LED indicators for powerline, power, Ethernet and HP 1.0 DET. The powerline Ethernet adapter operates on 100V to 240V AC and consumes less than 6W. It has one Ethernet LAN port and a replaceable EU/UK/AU-compatible plug. It runs on Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Linux and Mac OS. The product has 0 degree to 60 degrees Celsius operating temperature range with 10 to 90 percent relative humidity.
