About Global Sources Smart Living
Global Sources Smart Living is a brand-new pavilion covering smart security, energy management, entertainment, home improvement, appliances and gadgets. The fast-growing smart home market is expected to reach $121.73 billion by 2022, according to MarketsandMarkets.
Amazon, Google and Microsoft have all announced major initiatives in the space. According to the Wall Street Journal, "The groundswell of support from developers for Alexa is giving Amazon a powerful weapon against Apple's Siri, Alphabet Inc.'s Google Now and Microsoft's Cortana."
China suppliers offer a variety of affordable, quality smart living products including home security, lighting, energy management, entertainment, home improvement and appliances. An established electronics supply chain, the ability to quickly scale production, and a deep pool of engineering talent have enabled manufacturers to develop new smart living products at an unprecedented rate.
Big China brands are now successfully integrating the Internet of Things into their design concepts - Haier, for example, offers a number of television models that can connect to all their consumer devices, and Skyworth has developed its own operating system for its smart televisions. Smartphone companies Huawei and Xiaomi are getting into other connected devices, as well. Xiaomi has even bet its future on a plethora of affordable, quality smart home products like plugs, lights and a rice cooker.
