Slim, compact devices to topbill computer show

	Trade show visitors will be treated to a range of hot computer products, including e-book readers and netbooks, at the China Sourcing Fairs: Electronics & Components.

Ultraportability will be the buzzword at the China Sourcing Fairs: Electronics & Components on April 12 to 15 in Hong Kong.

Tablet PCs, netbooks and e-book readers are expected to headline the various computer products at the China Sourcing Fairs: Electronics & Components. USB 3.0-enabled units and solid state storage devices are also forecast to make an appearance.

Slim notebook and netbook computers with LED-backlit rotating monitors and touchscreen capability are expected to become best-sellers. More energy-efficient models running on Intel’s Atom N450 processor will debut at the show. Versions utilizing ARM processors and Linux OS are anticipated to expand buyers’ choices. Tablet PCs will be competing for attention as alternatives to the iPad.

Flash-based storage devices will be led by USB flash drives in novel housings, and cartoon, pop art and liquid-filled designs. A slew of extra functions will complement the encryption, registration, copyright protection and other utilities. USB 3.0 devices will include high-capacity flash drives and solid state disks in 64 to 128GB or larger. External enclosures and HDD docking stations will feature SuperSpeed interfaces as key selling points.

Forecast for another hot run are e-book readers in larger versions supporting a range of file formats. Makers of accessories, meanwhile, are keeping pace with the latest trends by releasing visually appealing silicone and rubber cases.

In addition, buyers will find touchscreen portable and full-HD 1080p HDD media players, space-saving all-in-one PCs, and wireless N routers and adapters.

China Sourcing Fairs: Electronics & Components will feature more than 3,000 booths representing export-oriented companies from at least 12 countries and regions.

There will be a series of free conferences paneled by trade and industry experts, where visitors could avail of varied market intelligence reports. Vendor summits and private sourcing meetings are scheduled to maximize business opportunities between volume buyers and suppliers
