Grade A Urea is a powerful protein denaturant via both direct and indirect mechanisms. A potent emollient and keratolytic agent. Used as a diuretic agent. Blood urea nitrogen (BUN) has been utilized to evaluate renal function. Widely used in fertilizers as a source of nitrogen and is an important raw material for the chemical industry.

Urea is a low cost nitrogen fertilizer form. This is because of its high nitrogen composition and consequent low transport and storage costs.
Urea may be the fertilizer of choice when only nitrogen is needed in a soil fertility program.
Apart from its major use as a fertilizer, urea is also employed in the manufacture of paints glues, plastics paper texties, feed and weed control chemicals as well as a source of non- protein nitrogen.
