    It is necessary for you to supply us with personal data in connection with the registration for admission to Global Sources Exhibitions and/or other events and activities organized by Global Sources Ltd. and/or its subsidiaries (collectively, the "Global Sources Group") and the provision by the Global Sources Group of products and services to you. You may subsequently withdraw any consent given for our collection, use and/or disclosure of your personal data. However, failure to supply your personal data and/or subsequent withdrawal of your consent may result in denial of admission to Global Sources Exhibitions and/or to such other events and activities or the Global Sources Group being unable to provide such products and services. The purposes for which your personal data may be used are as follows:

    • registration for admission to Global Sources Exhibitions and/or other events and activities organized by the Global Sources Group, and the setting-up of your Global Sources membership account;
    • facilitating the provision of such products and services as may be requested by you;
    • marketing Global Sources Exhibitions and/or other events and activities organized by the Global Sources Group, Global Sources eMagazines and/or other publications published by the Global Sources Group, Global Sources Online and/or other online services operated or offered by the Global Sources Group, Product Alerts issued by the Global Sources Group, and any other services and products offered by the Global Sources Group and/or its partners; and these services or products may be provided and/or marketed by:
      • the Global Sources Group;
      • third party service providers; and/or
      • partners of the Global Sources Group;
    • meeting the requirements to make disclosure under any local or foreign laws, regulations, court orders, investigations by relevant authorities or guidelines which a Global Sources Group company has to comply with;
    • enabling an actual or proposed assignee of any Global Sources Group company to evaluate the transaction intended to be the subject of the assignment; and
    • other purposes relating to, associated with or contemplated by any of the foregoing.

    Your personal data held by us will be kept confidential, but we may share your personal data among Global Sources Group companies and with its partners, and provide your personal data to any agent, contractor or third party service provider who provides administrative, telecommunications, computer, payment or other services to the Global Sources Group in connection with the operation of the Global Sources Group's business (whether within or outside your local jurisdiction) for the purposes set out above. Your personal data may be transferred to a place outside your local jurisdiction. Where we do so, subject to applicable privacy law, we will take steps to ensure that the standard of protection accorded to your personal data transferred is comparable to the protection under the applicable privacy law in your local jurisdiction.
