An assortment of drones, smart accessories and mobile gadgets were lined up for visitors to see at the recently concluded Global Sources Mobile Electronics show.

More than 1,800 trendy and unique booths displaying an array of products welcomed participants during the Mobile Electronics show in Hong Kong from April 18-21. Here are 10 hot gadgets, drones and accessories spotted at the show.

Quadcopter drone with retractable landing gear

This quadcopter drone, launched by Shenzhen FUAV Technology Co. Ltd, has retractable landing gear, allowing its PTZ camera to capture a 360-degree aerial shot. With a flying time of 20 minutes, the model comes with a remote control that also displays video real-time. It operates within 300 to 400m. FOB price is US$800 to US$900.

Mini drone operated via an app

Shenzhen South Digital Ltd’s mini drone operates by following a user’s movements through an app. Measuring 31x31x8cm, this aerial drone can transfer real-time videos to a smartphone within 30m. It has a 0.3MP camera. FOB price is US$45.

12MP water-resistant sports camera

Dongguan Digi-in Digital Technology Co. Ltd’s wearable camera is designed for extreme sports and underwater activities. It has a water-resistant case that can protect the camera under water in depths of 30m. The model shoots at 12MP and takes full HD videos at 1080p. It is also equipped with a 170-degree wide-angle lens. FOB price is US$40.

Women’s smart watch is multifunctional

The Omate Lutetia model from Umeox Perfect Technology (Shenzhen) Ltd is a smart watch for women featuring a 1.22in transflective display. Its functions include pedometer, alarm, Bluetooth remote control, call notification and messaging. The model’s battery lasts 5 days on standby mode. FOB price is US$75 to US$80.

Smart jewelry has 12 mini LED lights

Shenzhen HCEN Technology Co. Ltd offers its smart necklace that features 12 mini LED lights to indicate the time. The core part of the gem can be installed on a necklace, bracelet or other type of jewelry. The LED lights will also remind users of incoming calls or messages. FOB price is US$20 to US$25.

Foldable solar power case for iPhone 6, 6 Plus

E-Link Technology Co. Ltd’s solar power case for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus has a capacity of 2,500mAh. It comes with a solar panel on each side. The back of the case is foldable. A SIM card picker slot is found on the side. Solar efficiency is 22.4 percent. FOB price is US$30.

iPhone 6 case has removable data cable

This iPhone 6 case is part of the Ninja series from Shenzhen Renqing Technology Co. Ltd. There is a removable silicone power/data cable on the back of the case. It is made of PC. FOB price is US$5.

4G smartphone with fingerprint scanner

This 4G smartphone from Shenzhen Yunji Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd features a fingerprint scanner at the back that can be used to unlock the phone. Its battery can achieve a 50 percent power level in 30 minutes via fast-charge technology. FOB price is US$129.

Phone can be controlled from the back

Shenzhen KVD Communication Equipment Ltd’s smartphone features a touch panel IC attached to its inner rear cover allowing a user to control the phone from the back. Like a normal touchscreen display, this side of the phone can be swiped up and down, and from left to right. FOB price is US$95.

Fixed-wing drone for mapping, surveying

Feiyu Electronic Technology Co. Ltd’s Skycam is a fixed-wing drone designed for industrial use such as mapping and surveying. This drone has two removable wings and lands via a parachute.
