Instead of using ABS or PLA filaments like its counterparts, the model Polyes Q1 3D printing pen from Nanjing Baichuan Xingyuan Laser Technology Co. Ltd utilizes cool ink, which prevents burns. The 3D printing pen uses photopolymers that harden when exposed to a blue LED light. The ink comes in different colors. Designed for children, the model features a safety switch, which protects the eyes against the LED light. The light will automatically turn off when the pen reaches above ground level.

Nanjing Baichuan was founded by Nanjing Advanced Laser Technology Institution. It focuses on high-tech laser products.
