3D scanner has 1.3 million-pixel lens [Startup Launchpad]

Hangzhou Blackbox 3D Technology Co. Ltd offers the 3D scanner model that uses a 1.3 million-pixel monocular lens and has a scanning speed of 60fps at an accuracy of 0.05 to 0.5mm. Speed per frame is less than 0.3 seconds while spatial point distance is 0.1 to 1.5mm. A single scan coverage ranges from 150x250 to 250x420mm.

The device adopts white, blue and green LEDs to protect the eyes. It suits handheld or fixed noncontact surface scanning. The 3D scanner supports OBJ, ASC, STL, PLY, VTX, WRL and AC, and is compatible with Geomagic Solutions, PolyWorks, CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, NX, Solid Edge, Inventor, Alias, 3DS Max, Maya and Sofimage. It comes with a turntable, tripod and built-in laser pointer. Product dimensions are 217x220x67mm while weight is 880g.

Established in 2015, Hangzhou Blackbox employs technicians from Microsoft Research Asia and Zhejiang University. Its R&D team includes members with doctorate and post-doctorate degrees. The company provides 3D scanning solutions.
