Puppy love - Animal lover or not, this season sees pets taking center stage, with dog- and puppy-inspired prints and designs more prevalent particularly on pillows, figurines, wall hooks and decorative accents.

Traditional holiday - Decorative pieces will take a classic and elegant twist, highlighting bright red and gold with natural green and wooden hues. Winter wonderland-esque designs are also popular.

Prickly plants - Cactuses have made their way from Las Vegas and onto children's beddings, candle scents and premiums. With this in mind, keep a close watch on Midwestern-themed items, which are predicted to go in demand soon.

Geography 101 - In terms of gifts and home decorations, pieces that show off state pride remain common, and have already expanded into textiles, wall art, barware and gourmet. Local souvenirs are currently popular among consumers, specifically for those who love to travel.

Under the Sea - Nautical- and ocean-inspired home decorations will be a major trend this winter. Pieces will display abstract and shell-sculpted details while wall art will mostly feature mermaids and sea creatures.
