5 hot trends at spring 2015 Gifts & Premiums show

Bright and shiny giftware and promotional products stood out at the April 2015 edition of China Sourcing Fair: Gifts & Premiums.

This spring, China Sourcing Fair: Gifts & Premiums showcased fancy and functional gifts and promotional items in a range of splashy hues and finishes.

Here are five big trends at the show:

1. Bright colors: Neon colors in sports accessories and athletic equipment were a slam-dunk.

2. Shiny, metallic finishes: From embossed, glitter-infused promotional bags to sports souvenirs, all things shiny demanded attention.

3. Innovative materials and new techniques for promotional bags: Exhibitors introduced a number of new materials for promotional bags, including glitter powder, cork and bamboo. New techniques such as full color UV printing on nonwoven shopping bags made a unique statement.

4. Eco-friendly: Environmental friendliness remained a big trend, with many exhibitors boasting earth-safe products made using earth-safe materials such as shopping bag fabric created from recycled water bottles.

5. Easy peasy: Convenience was the name of the game this year. Representatives of this trend include a sports waistband with holders for a water bottle and mobile phone, and a plastic poncho that rolls up into its keychain case.
