Pimax Technology (Shanghai) Co. Ltd’s 8K model is a modular 8K VR headset with a 200-degree field of view. It allows users to use peripheral vision instead of moving their head for a more immersive experience. The device runs on a GTX 980 or 1070, or an AMD R9 Nano processor.

The unit adopts a Customized Low Persistence Liquid display with 15ms motion-to-photon latency. Refresh rate is at 75 to 90Hz with support for 150 to 180Hz through Brainwarp technology. Two 3.5mm audio jacks and a microphone are also incorporated. Wireless transmission, hand motion, eye tracking, fan cooling, custom VR frame and scent-enabling modules are optional. The product is compatible with 1,700 VR games and videos.
