A new bathroom mirror developed by Imec, Deknudt Mirrors and Group De Keyzer, is capable of showing the user front and back views in high resolution.

The smart bathroom mirror is installed on the inner side of one of the bathroom cabinet’s doors and makes use of a camera mounted on the other door, that’s why it is able to see the user’s back. The rear view is shown on a tablet PC-like screen at the right part of the mirror that does not obstruct the front view. The fixture also incorporates LEDs for a more vivid reflection.

While other smart bathroom mirrors boast TVs and apps or widgets shown on their screens, this new mirror is intelligent enough in the simplest way, grabbing the spotlight by addressing one of the most common problems regarding mirror inconvenience. Now, one does not need to hold anymore a small mirror to see his or her back.
