Set for release in February, the BT322-8N model from Shanghai Smarfid Security Equipment Co. Ltd is a multitechnology reader that supports Bluetooth and Mifare standards, and iOS and Android mobile phones.
In “Show-to-Go” mode, entry is granted when the user places his or her smartphone in front of the unit just like how authorized cards are presented for access. In "Shake-to-Go" mode, the owner shakes a smartphone horizontally and vertically without turning the device. Handsfree mode is optional.
As long as the smartphone detects the Bluetooth reader within the set range, it will send automatically card data to the latter. Standard, midrange and long-range reading distances are 1, 3 to 5, and 5 to 10m, respectively. Phone apps need to initialize before they can work with the reader.
Shanghai Smarfid focuses on access control product R&D.
