MobilECG introduces a business card built in with a working electrocardiogram (ECG), which reads a person's heart and pulse rates. On the back of the card are two thumb scanners and a small screen where the animated ECG strip will be displayed in real time.

The idea was conceived by a group of engineers from Hungary who found that clinical ECG machines were too expensive, eventually establishing MobilECG that provides more accessible solutions. The business card was created to promote their actual ECG device.

The cards uses a button cell battery and does not consume power on standby. It is not meant to replace a real ECG and should not be used as a diagnostic tool. While the card reading is incomplete, it is considered to be accurate.

There is a consumer interest in the MobilECG Business Card, and the company has plans to sell it for $29 or less. The card's code is open source, allowing interested parties to devise one of their own.
