Shenzhen Celi Telecommunication Technology Co. Ltd has launched its first children’s smart watch— the TORO Kid Phone. Billed as the first real smart watch for kids, this device comes with a Toro app for two-way calls and chat, text messages, and one-key SOS alert. This app runs on iOS6+ and Android 2.2+.

Parents can pre-set multiple modes according to their need: monitoring mode, safe mode and sleep mode. Further, the watch has double location function, and a Swiss Ublox GPS chip that supports APGS and helps parents locate their child faster. Meanwhile, the LBS locating function helps parents to make sure their children are safe when indoors. Additionally, this smart watch features a 0.96in OLED, micro SIM card and standard USB. It also has IP65 waterproof rating.

Under the “remote monitoring” mode, this watch phone can call a mobile phone and the party on the other end of the line can listen in to the background sound without making any noise. Parents can also set a safe zone and get alerted once the child leaves the area. Running on a 450mAh battery, this device can last 12 days on standby mode. It can also support 320 minutes call time.
