Computer Fans with Low Noise, High Heat Dissipation

The increased data-handling capability of current-generation computers means more components draw power and generate heat that can affect hardware performance. To avoid potential damage from constant exposure to high temperatures, cooling fans are used but they have to be designed so as not to contribute to overheating.

In China, manufacturers of computer cooling fans are highlighting features such as providing ventilation with low noise and power dissipation in their next standard releases. An example is a unit that has a high airflow of 80.5CFM produced at 2,600rpm but generates a noise level of only 19dB and has a maximum life span of 60,000 hours.

Mainstream units from Chinese suppliers have 900 to 2,500rpm, 35 to 60CFM and less than 30dB, and last more than 30,000 hours. They come in round and square variants with 5 or 12V rated voltage, use hydraulic, sleeve or ball bearings and are made of copper, aluminum or plastic. Water-resistant versions are at least IP65-rated.

Generally, China-made computer cooling fans can be customized based on specific features, sizes and materials, and meet CE, RoHS and UL requirements.

The manufacturers usually source fan blades, bearings, drivers and cases from domestic providers. So far this year, the cost of these inputs has been stable and will likely keep fan prices unchanged until the end of 2023.
