DuPont and Reebok agreed to multiyear contract for the latter's use of Kevlar in its Spring-Summer 2015 CrossFit collection.

DuPont Protection Technologies (DuPont) and Reebok International (Reebok) released their trademark license agreement for the use of the DuPont™ Kevlar® and Dare Biggers™ trademarks. Set to be released this June, Reebok's Spring-Summer 2015 CrossFit collection would adopt the DuPont Kevlar fiber. The line includes sports apparel and accessories specifically designed for CrossFit athletes that can withstand high-intensity workouts.

A fiber known for its durability and strength, Kevlar was invented by a DuPont chemist back in 1964 in their search for a strong and lightweight fiber to make tires. It has a wide range of applications, including ballistic body armors, cryogenics, equipment and even musical instruments. Kevlar is also used in protective clothing for fire fighters, industrial wear, fiber optic cables and commercial aircrafts.

Delaware-based DuPont generated about $34.7 billion in revenue for fiscal year 2014. Reebok operates as a subsidiary of Adidas. The company's sales reached 1.59 million euros in 2013.
