Brown, neutral and blue shades are predicted to be popular next year.

It's the time of the year again when most of the biggest paint and coating brands have already announced their top hues for the upcoming year. What are the dominant shades? The answer is earthy and city-inspired colors.
Importers looking for paint can base their selections on these top color picks that are expected to be "hot" in 2019:
1. Cavern Clay – This hue by Sherwin-Williams is a terracotta shade that is inspired by the desert. The color is said to bring warmth from the outdoors and let homeowners feel summer afternoons.
2. Spice of Life – Another earthy color making the list is Dunn-Edwards' Spice of Life. The color resembles that of bricks combining touches of dark brown and red, and draws inspiration from autumn, planet Mars exploration and concepts of humanity. Color experts at Dunn Edwards say it complements khaki, cream and deep blue shades.
3. Metropolitan AF-690 – Described as "stylish gray with cool undertones", Benjamin Moore says Metropolitan AF-690 reflects 21st-century modern living, and is calming and can blend with metallic accents to make an area in the home sleek.
4. Night Watch – From PPG, this color is a dark variant of green that is said to suit healthcare, commercial and residential interiors. PPG says the hue is inspired by nature and its "healing power".
5. Spiced Honey – This light brown hue is predicted by paint and coatings brand AkzoNobel to be in-demand as the new year comes in. The color is said to be warm and elegant, and lets in more light inside the home.
6. Blueprint S470-5 – Behr has selected Blueprint, a shade of blue, as 2019's color of the year. The hue looks like the color of cityscapes, the ocean and jeans. It is said to bring architectural designs to life and can be paired with monochromatic, earth, pastels and jewel colors.
