China companies offer units in SMD and DIP configurations with minimum pitch of 0.3mm.
Mainstream FPC connectors from China manufacturers come in SMD and DIP kinds with four to 60 pins. The typical choices in terms of pitch are 0.3, 0.5, 0.6, 0.8, 1, 1.25 and 2.54mm units, and by height, 1, 1.2, 1.5, 2 and 2.5mm.
There are dual-contact variants such as those from Dongguan Jinda Electronics Co. Ltd and Shenzhen Rong Teng Hui Technology Co. Ltd.
Releases in 0.3 and 0.5mm pitch represent the bulk of shipments.
The main materials are phosphor bronze for the contacts, nickel and tin for the plating, and UL94V-0-rated liquid-crystal polymer for the insulation. All are sourced locally, although imported versions can also be used as specified.
The cost of manufacturing inputs has not changed, keeping product prices stable. Some suppliers have lowered quotes to attract more orders amid the competition. In general, the flat trend will continue in the months ahead.

0.5mm-pitch FPC connector
The FPC-PH006 model from Dongguan Penghui Electronics Co. Ltd is an FPC connector with four to 60 pins and 0.5mm pitch. Its height is 1.2mm.
The unit has a 0.4A current rating, 50VAC withstand voltage, and 20mohm maximum contact and 500Mohm minimum insulation resistance. It operates in -40 to 80 C.
The minimum order is 2,000 units. Delivery lead time is 15 days.
Dual-contact FPC connector meets RoHS
This dual-contact FPC connector from Shenzhen Rong Teng Hui Technology Co. Ltd, model FPC-302, has 50VAC/DC rated voltage, 0.5A rated current per pin, and ≤50mohm maximum contact and ≥100Mohm minimum insulation resistance. The RoHS-compliant unit lasts more than 20 cycles.
The minimum order is 3,000 units, and delivery time is 15 days.
FPC connector rated at 50VAC/DC, 0.4A
Yinghua International (HK) Ltd offers the 3950_0.5K_DX-nPWB H1.0 model, an FPC connector with gold- or tin-plated phosphor bronze contacts and tin-plated brass legs. Both connector parts have an overall nickel undercoating.
The 50VAC/DC, 0.4A unit has a UL94V-0-rated thermoplastic housing. It meets RoHS requirements.
