Brushless motors for computers, home appliances, vehicles, robotics, and industrial and medical equipment make up the mainstream selection in China.

China DC motor companies turn out brushless motors for computers, home appliances, vehicles, robotics, and industrial and medical equipment. Their selections have 300 to 20,000rpm speed, and 3 to 48VDC input voltage, 80 to 90 percent efficiency and below 100kW power. Most offer less than 7,500W models.

Sensored kinds continue to rule supply, representing more than 80 percent of output. Based on magnetic materials used, those adopting NdFeB magnets lead.

Typical product life span exceeds 20,000 hours.

Manufacturers accommodate customization. Orders based on buyers' specifications account for 20 to 60 percent of shipments.

The majority of companies ensure RoHS compliance. For specific applications, suppliers secure additional approval such as GB/T21418-2008 and JB/T10690-2007.

Stators, rotators, Hall sensors, magnets, shafts and cases come from local providers except when otherwise required. Makers still mainly depend on Japan for bearings, and TI, Freescale, Fairchild and Atmel for chips used in built-in electronic drivers.

The supply and cost of materials and components have been stable, keeping prices of brushless motors flat. This trend is expected to last into the next year.

500 to 2,500rpm brushless motor

The model NBD7524M-F brushless motor from the Nostop Motor Group uses a gear box or synchronous motor, and rotates counterclockwise from the shaft driving side at 500 to 2,500rpm. The noise level at no load is ≤45dB, which is measured at 80cm distance.

The 3-phase unit with a Hall sensor has class A thermal insulation system. Temperature rise is ≤60K. The rated supply is 24VDC and power 24W.

The minimum order is 5,000 units for delivery within 45 days.

Brushless motor for treadmills

Shenzhen Maintex Pinpoint Technique Co. Ltd's BLM-110-75-001 model is a brushless motor for treadmills. It has 85 percent efficiency, and boasts high torque, low noise and long operating life span.

The supplier requires a minimum order of 500 units, and the delivery lead time is 20 days.

Brushless motor has 8,700rpm at full load

The BLDC2236 model from Yateng Motor (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd is a brushless motor with 10,500rpm speed at no load and 8,700rpm with load, and 48g.cm torque.

The 12V unit requires ≤120 and ≤500mA respectively at no- and full-load modes. It has 4W power output. The motor is 22mm in diameter and 36mm in length.

The minimum order is 1,000 units, and the delivery lead time is 15 days.

ZJTEX Electric Group Co. Ltd's model dcbl-16 brushless motor has 1,000 to 5,000rpm speed, and 50 to 1,000W rated power. The unit is designed for automation applications. Its frame is 42 to 130mm. The minimum order of 200 units is delivered within 30 days.
