South Korea's hair shampoo line follows the trend for organic formulations for enhanced hair and scalp treatment and care.
Concern over the widespread use of toxic chemicals in hair shampoo has fuelled the popularity of products based on natural ingredients and without synthetic surfactants, silicone oils, carbomers and parabens.
In keeping with this trend, South Korea hair care suppliers are turning to plant-derived materials such as vegetable extracts, coconut oil and black bamboo components. This is to promote formulations that are gentle for all hair types and will not cause scalp irritation and hair loss.
There are releases that contain no color pigments to protect hair color, and those that are meant to help rebuild and strengthen weak or chemically treated or damaged hair. Some are a little acidic with pH level close to that of the hair and skin to prevent damage and oiliness.
The products in this gallery have been handpicked by our South Korea-based market analyst for representing current trends in hair shampoo.
