Indonesia garments embody a high aesthetic standard - and it's all in the details.
When it comes to the arts, Indonesia is known for its intricate and near-perfect craftsmanship. No detail is missed and everything that needs to be in place is. Quality control is extensive and strict.
As in the case of Indonesia garments, the same can be said. For years, the distinct and highly intricate Batik art has signified the Indonesian culture, and today, it remains alive in the clothing that is worn by locals and exported to other countries.
Other intricacies of the garment industry are hand-sewn patterns and sequins, which are usually found in dresses and other formal attire. High-quality materials are used in producing these garments, such as rayon and silk. Rayon is often used as an alternative to cotton due to its abundance in Bali, Bandung, Sukarta and Semarang. Silk, on the other hand, is the main material used in making kebaya, a formal form-fitting dress worn in special occasions. It's sourced from the provinces in Central Java, but is sometimes sourced from Japan and China.
Today, garment exporters have adapted current styles in their products, yet they still manage to practice traditional craftsmanship and showcase the country's distinct art through Batik.
