Rattan and bamboo are among the materials commonly adopted by suppliers to produce eye-catching tableware.

Tableware makers in Vietnam create visually appealing designs using a wide range of natural materials. Bamboo, rattan, clay and cotton are some of the inputs adopted in their latest releases.

Spun bamboo is a common option for dinner plates, bowls, serving trays and tabletop accessories such as placemats and runners. Tableware suppliers usually source the material from the provinces of Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Son La, Yen Bai and Tuyen Quang.

Rattan, water hyacinth and seagrass are also popular inputs in the manufacture of serving trays and placements. Many companies adopt these materials in charger plates as well.

Rattan is often sourced from the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Nghe An, Son La and Yen Bai. Seagrass is available in Thanh Hoa, as well as the provinces of Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh and Nam Dinh. Water hyacinth is typically procured from provinces in the Mekong Delta region.

Porcelain, stoneware and earthenware products are made using clay from the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Vinh Long and An Giang. Cotton and linen for table cloths, mats and runners are sourced from Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Ninh Binh, Hung Yen, Binh Duong and Hanoi.

The selection of tableware in natural materials comprises asymmetrical and novelty-shaped models, as well as basic round, square and rectangular pieces. In terms of color, options range from classic white to bright hues such as red and orange. Multicolor products are also available.
