The adoption of different fabrics, hues and patterns result in a heterogeneous mix of trendy releases.
Manufacturers in China and South Korea are launching women's trench coats in various silhouettes, textures, colors, prints and fabric composition, with the garment expected to be among the hottest trends in fashion this year.
To come up with a different hand feel, suppliers are using different textile blends. Polyester and cotton remain the top materials, often blended with viscose, spandex and wool to enhance absorbency, stretch and warmth-retention, respectively. Versions in pure wool and leather are popular as well.
Many releases come in oversized silhouettes with loose-fit sleeves, open collars and self-fabric belts. Some trench coat makers also differentiate themselves by incorporating unique style elements such as yoke trims, military details and the use of natural pigments for the prints.
