US-based Avatar Ventures Corp., a publicly traded company on the OTC markets platform, announced recently its expansion into the lucrative business of wearable art.

Edward Minnema, the company's CEO in collaboration with AutoArt Color Solutions Inc. of Canada, has successfully developed a heat-pressing technique that enables photographic quality continuous tone image to be printed on a cotton or polyester T-shirt. According to Avatar, this is a perceived first in the industry.

The images do not show dots or pixilation even under 10x magnification, which is a common problem in other printing procedures. Photographers who have tried the technique also said that the colors are vibrant and remain true to the original image.

Avatar believes that this can provide opportunities for artists, photographers, the tourism and souvenir industries, and people who want quality and durable keepsake. Artists and photographers can now heat-press their works into t-shirts without losing quality. They can also prepare limited edition signed shirts while providing advertising space for them and their clients.
