Global Sources Fashion highlights creativity, sustainability

Fashion sourcing cannot get easier and more convenient than this fall as Global Sources Fashion returns. Co-located with the Global Sources Lifestyle show, the event will run from October 27 to 30 at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong.

The largest collection of trendy apparel, bags, footwear and accessories in this side of the region await sourcing professionals as more than a thousand export-ready exhibitors from Greater China and the rest of Asia are expected to grace the show.

Buyers can have their fill of the latest fashion bags, scarves, gloves, shoes, socks, belts, eyewear and jewelry in different trendy and stylish designs.

The apparel section will boast a chic selection of casual wear, sports clothing, swimwear and undergarments. Playful children's clothing will also line up display booths.

A pavilion for the latest fabrics and trimmings is predicted to attract garment and accessories suppliers and manufacturer looking for top-quality materials and components.

Apart from the products, guests can look forward to amazing side events.

One of the show favorites, the Fashion Parades will make an encore, filling the runways again with standout releases from exhibitors and designers while the Fashion Tech Zone is expected to feature technological innovations in the fashion world, complete with product demos.

Another staple, the Young Designers Corner is set to showcase unique creations from up-and-coming designers from Hong Kong and other parts of the world.

Visitors can also get the scoop on the upcoming seasons’ trendsetting styles and hues at the Trends Spotlight, which will be presented in cooperation with color forecast authority Pantone.

Sustainability is growing in the industry, and a pair of competitions reflecting Global Sources Fashion's commitment to a greener fashion will be held. The 3Rs Shoe Design Competition will unveil its top creations while the 3Rs Denim Design Competition will make its debut.

Buyers can also pad their industry knowledge as well as expand their network by taking part on other onsite activities. At the Designers' Event, visitors can participate in a three-hour session, including runway shows, forum discussions and cocktail networking party.

Attendees can get their hands dirty at the Fashion Art Design workshop, where they experience creating DIY leather accessories, and 3D shoe printing and foot scanning.
