An 80 percent increase in on-month requests for information propelled dining chairs to the number 2 spot in GlobalSources.com's top 20 home products for October 2014. It occupied fifth place in September.

The category posted the biggest jump in annual RFIs at 317 percent. This is a jump of 230 percent points from September's YoY growth.

On-trend dining chairs adopt wood, plastic, metal and other materials. They are marketed individually or in sets. Many have hues and designs that match dining area motifs of homes or offices.

Meanwhile, home bedding sets remains the category boasting the most number of inquiries. It has been at the top of the list since May. This is despite the 24 percent decrease in annual RFIs. Monthly inquiries rose a marginal 4 percent.
