OIA Global and Ditto Sustainable Brand solutions partner to launch a program that can allow retailers to cut expenses while promoting ecological consciousness.

Two US-based enterprises announced a joint marketing agreement to create an innovative shipping and retail program that aims to provide a cost-efficient and environment-friendly alternative to plastic clothes hangers.
The project named Ditto on Garments is spearheaded by OIA Global, an Oregon-based third-party supply chain management company, and Ditto Sustainable Brand Solutions, a green product design company from California. It is geared at enabling to retailers to cut spending and improve sales while reducing the environmental strain caused by the billions of plastic hangers thrown to landfills each year.
The program's key component is the Ditto Hanger which adopts 100 percent recycled paper fiberboard. Apart from being fully biodegradable, the product is free from heavy metals and formaldehyde. The hanger is also durable and comes in customizable designs, making it an effective branding and marketing tool.
The structure of the product is likewise expected to reduce shipping, labor and warehousing costs by up to 20 percent, and allows retailers to display up to 50 percent more items per square foot that can lead to sales increases.
