Image source: UnsplashNondigital games are experiencing a resurgence as digital fatigue becomes more apparent among today’s consumers. Players are turning to traditional board games because of the growing nostalgia for classic games and for having more free time brought about by the pandemic lockdowns.
According to market research company Technavio’s report, the global board game market, which includes tabletop, dice and card, and roleplaying games, is set to increase by $2.56 billion from 2020 to 2025, accelerating at a 7.30 percent CAGR. Thirty-four percent of the growth will originate from Europe, with France, Germany and the UK as key markets.
Dice games are one of the most common types of classic games that are popular not just among households but in casinos as well. More than just a form of entertainment, dice games are versatile since they can be played by any individual of any age and with any number of players whether on a table, floor or even in a vehicle.
In today’s marketplace, consumers can even find innovatively designed dice or dice sets that integrate lights or function as a yoga and fitness aid, automotive and home décor, USB flash drive and decompression toy. Manufacturers offer them at competitive rates and in various shapes, sizes, colors and designs.
The products in the gallery below have been selected by our Market Analyst for representing trends in dice in today’s market.
