Question 1: How to face the challenge of green manufacturing?
Q: The awareness of green environmental protection in the global consumer market is increasing, green consumption is recognized by more and more consumers, and the ecological environment puts forward higher requirements for the manufacturing industry. How do small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises under the pressure of domestic and international competition cope with this challenge?
Wang Xiao: My team has provided social responsibility consulting services to hundreds of Chinese and foreign companies of different types. Based on our research results and practical experience on social responsibility issues such as sustainable development and green manufacturing, I suggest:
First of all, companies need to use resource-saving technology for production, such as saving water, electricity and other resources , The traditional forklifts used in factory warehouses are increasingly being replaced by electric forklifts, which is also a manifestation of saving resources. In addition, there are energy-saving process technologies and environmentally friendly process technologies, which can reduce the discharge of waste liquid, waste gas, waste residue and noise, and at the same time reduce the production cost of enterprises.
Second, enterprises should pay attention to green recycling. For example, there is a product recycling and product trade-in section on Huawei's official website. Because there are metal parts in mobile phones, metal can serve as a building material for 100 years. As a mobile phone part, it will be discarded after working for 2 to 5 years. This is an obvious waste. . Huawei's products are traded for new and recycled, which not only reduces the cost of raw materials, but also reduces the pressure on the environment to degrade waste metals.
Third, enterprises should fundamentally take the road of R&D, improvement and innovation. Green trade barriers have reduced the economic benefits of my country's export enterprises, which means that enterprises must improve and innovate to avoid the consumption of a large number of resources in the production process, so as to ensure the economic benefits of enterprises. In addition, the proposal of green manufacturing promotes the technological innovation of Chinese enterprises. If technology is not advanced and manufacturing is not upgraded, products cannot be responsible for the health and safety of consumers; if product recycling is not perfect, products cannot pass the qualification inspection for export to Europe. Require enterprises to invest in technology research and development.
Li Guoyou: Our company was established in 2008 and has been engaged in the manufacture of plastic molds and hardware molds, but with the continuous changes in the market, we saw the huge market potential behind LED lights, so we began to enter this product field.
When it comes to green manufacturing, LED products are actually energy-saving and environmentally friendly. Under the background that green manufacturing has penetrated more and more deeply into my country's manufacturing industry, the market and pattern around us are changing, and even the way of competition is different from before. When I was just graduating, I met foreigners and said a word to them, and it was very possible to turn them into my customers and business partners. Now, we have to take the initiative because the current market landscape has changed. , there are many manufacturers and few buyers. For small and medium-sized enterprises like us, we must learn to rely on the national policy of “One Belt, One Road” to “go out” in the case of excess products and seek development in a broader market.
Question 2: How to break through the bottleneck of team building?
Q: It is very important for enterprises to establish their own team. Many enterprises often affect the production progress and production efficiency due to poor communication and handling of some trivial work, and even consume the company's resources and destroy the pace of team building. . So how can SMEs break through the bottleneck of team building?
Wang Xiao: Now a popular incentive method is called equity incentives. It is worth noting that equity incentives sometimes have counter-productive effects, especially in the decision-making of corporate directional issues, which can easily lead to differences. In fact, the key to team building is that employees and founders have the same philosophy. If each member's efforts are inconsistent, the giant ship of the company can only stay in place. In addition, the team's reward and punishment system should be clear and clear, and the personnel and processes that violate the company's rules should be cut if they should be cut, so that the company can go more and more stable. Even if a member of the team leaves the company, the opportunity to work together again is not ruled out.
Li Guoyou: I think the success of an enterprise is ultimately attributed to talents. Talents are the leaders, and the rest are auxiliary tools. Therefore, the construction of enterprise teams is crucial. In China in the 1980s, as long as you were bold and dared to go to sea, you could make money, but now, a lot of opportunities exist in emerging markets waiting to be tapped. For example, from my corporate practice, the Indian market is a very good choice. India has a large population base, and its management order, cultural background and social system are very different from ours, so when we form a team, we must " Do as the locals do.”
In the past two years, my company has established its own team in the Indian market. With the efforts of the local team, our LED products are constantly being updated. In particular, with the continuous integration and improvement of important links such as green manufacturing and technological innovation, while the products are being upgraded, the market channels and team development behind them are also constantly improving.
Wang Fang: Our company's services are mainly divided into two parts, one is professional export, promotional gifts and handicrafts; the other is gold and jewelry wholesale and corporate gift services for small, medium and micro enterprises.
The average age of our employees is around 25 years old, which is a very young team. I'm probably not like many bosses - I'm a big fan of hiring fresh graduates. First of all, I think the boss should position himself as the "soul" of the enterprise, but the boss cannot be the ceiling that restricts the development of the entire enterprise. Therefore, from the very beginning of the company's establishment, I spent nearly two years visiting and studying hundreds of companies, constantly exploring and excavating the excellent management experience of different companies, and influencing the personality development of the entire team through a top-to-bottom approach.
Secondly, all small and medium-sized enterprises should avoid the misunderstanding of "relying on the head with a headache, and treating the foot with a sore foot". The "complementary" arrangement allows each of them to play to their strengths.
Finally, managers must have a global framework for the management of the entire enterprise, such as the company's entire culture establishment and compensation mechanism. A clear and transparent management framework can better enable them to be implemented.
