U-Cube Creative Ltd's Polar Ice Tray model allows users to make crystal-clear ice at home. The product consists of a heat-isolated PU foam base, silicone mold top, water container and perforated layer. The last two are both made of PP.

The silicone top is placed on the perforated layer, which is then fitted into the water container, forming a sphere shape. Water is poured through the hole on the silicone top. When filled to the brim, the assembled container is placed into the insulated base. The dual-chamber construction separates the 6cm ice sphere from impurities in the water.

Flowers and fruits can be included to add decorate to the ice. The ice tray also comes in other shapes, including arctic animals, pebbles and bamboo.

Taiwan-based U-Cube was founded in March 2008.
