Beautifully crafted tableware has become an essential item in the home. Visually appealing plates, bowls and other pieces not only showcase various dishes, they can also serve as decorative items to complement an overall interior design. In line with this, manufacturers in Indonesia are enhancing the look of their products to appeal to home décor buyers, as well as those searching for tableware.
A diverse range of dinnerware, serveware, flatware and tabletop accessories has emerged as a result of these efforts. Suppliers are offering new color palettes, patterns, shapes and motifs for various interior design schemes.
The latest releases from Indonesia include several asymmetrical pieces, a departure from the usual round, oval, square or rectangular designs. Plates and trays shaped like leaves, fruits and vegetables are also being offered.
For patterns, options include geometric styles in addition to traditional floral types and other nature-inspired themes. Istana Potterindo Industri, a supplier in East Java, offers a tableware collection that features batik patterns.
Manufacturers are using engraving, carving, printing, glazing, painting and cutouts to create visually appealing designs. A number are also combining materials to produce various looks and textures. PT Caspla Bali, for example, offers spoons and forks that feature seashell inlay on the handles.
In addition to offering eye-catching shapes and patterns, Indonesia tableware suppliers are using sustainable materials to differentiate their products. Releases in line with this trend include placemats, charger plates and coasters made of bamboo or rattan. A number are offering designs made of coconut wood or shells in response to the demand for environment-friendly products.
