SmartCityGrid Co. Ltd's indoor air-quality detector is designed to monitor pollutants as well as temperature and humidity. Its ranges and allowable error readings are 0 to 500µg/cm2 and ±10 percent for dust, 0 to 2,000ppm and ±50ppm for carbon dioxide, -40 to 100 C and below ±0.5 C for temperature, and 0 to 100 percent and lower than ±3 percent at 25 C for relative humidity.

The unit uses light scattering or IR rays and nondispersive IR respectively to track dust and carbon dioxide, a semiconductor device to read the temperature and a capacitive sensor with a polymer dielectric to detect the level of humidity.

A software engineering company, SmartCityGrid holds 16 national and six overseas patents.
