Kobe Bryant's shoes favorite among NBA players

Former National Basketball Association superstar and Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant currently has the most popular kicks in the league, according to a recent survey by product review website Versus Reviews.

The group asked all current NBA players about the shoes they wear and 58 of the about 450 respondents said they use Kobe Bryant-sponsored basketball shoes, with the low-cut and Zoom-fortified Nike Kobe AD as the most popular choice. This is followed by the Nike Hyperdunk 2016 and Nike PG 1, the signature shoe of recently acquired Oklahoma City Thunder all-star Paul George. adidas Crazy Explosive, and first-time NBA champion and Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant's Nike KD 9 round out the top 5.

Nike remains the most prominent sneaker brand in the league, worn by 64 percent of all players. Germany-based adidas is a distant second at about 18 percent followed by Nike-owned Jordan brand at one-tenth.

Worldwide, however, four-time league MVP and Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James and former teammate and 2016 NBA Finals MVP Kyrie Irving, who was recently traded to the Boston Celtics, have the best-selling basketball shoes, according to a recent Forbes article. Both players are under Nike.
