LG Display is making an effort to rise in the OLED lighting market by mass production and introduction of new panels.
The company, as reported by eeNews Europe, will have its latest Gen 5 production line turn out 30 times more than the capacity of the older factory. It also released its newest brand, Luflex.
Luflex light panels are flexible. Aside from expanding its selections, LG Display is counting on design as a major selling point for its OLED panels. Its releases come in various shapes, including square, rectangle, circle, flowerlike, spiral and curved, thus attracting more customers. The eye-friendly lights are also said to emit uniform light and no heat, making them good for various applications. LG Display’s lighting panels are available in a range of color temperatures.

The market is poised for a 52 percent CAGR through 2026, per a report by ID Tech Ex cited by eeNews Europe. Research company Technavio, meanwhile, sees a bigger CAGR from this year until 2021, a 91 percent growth.
