RJ-45 connectors are modular interconnection devices widely used in networks for data transmission. Capitalizing on the appeal of this easy-use feature, Chinese manufacturers are developing more toolless RJ-45 connectors to complement their selections of standard types. They are also adding low profile to the design for scenarios where space is limited such as in industrial environments.
Widely available connectors in China are male, female, shielded and unshielded types for both T578A and T568B wiring for Cat 5, 6, 7 and 8 Ethernet cables. They have 2.5mohm maximum contact and 1,000Mohm minimum insulation resistance, and 1,000VDC or 700VAC dielectric strength. The typical mating cycle exceeds 750 times. Most companies offer products that are compliant with UL, CE, FCC and RoHS standards.
Copper, gold, nickel and high-temperature plastic used in the manufacture of these 8P8C connectors usually come from domestic suppliers. The cost of these materials is expected to remain generally stable and keep connector prices unchanged in the coming months.
